TheQuranScroll is designed as a private Quran reading and study app. This policy explains what information the app stores, when it connects to external services, and the choices available to you.
Bookmarks, personal notes, reading position, Khatm-plan progress, theme and reading preferences, and cached Tafsir passages are stored locally on your device. TheQuranScroll does not require an account, and this information is not uploaded to a developer-operated server.
Quran text, the default translation, transliteration, and morphology data are bundled with the app. When you stream recitation, the app requests audio from cdn.islamic.network. When you open Tafsir that has not already been cached, the app requests the selected passage from the spa5k Tafsir dataset served through cdn.jsdelivr.net. Font resources may be requested from Google Fonts when they are not already available locally.
These providers may receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address, request time, requested resource, and device or network metadata under their own privacy practices.
Sharing an Ayah is always initiated by you. The app passes the text or generated image to your device's system share sheet. The destination app or service you choose processes that content under its own privacy policy. TheQuranScroll does not receive information about where you share it.
Internet access is used for recitation audio, uncached Tafsir, and font resources. On Android, notification, foreground-service, and wake-lock permissions support background audio and media controls. On iOS, the app uses the system background audio capability for the same purpose. The app does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, SMS, call logs, or advertising or tracking permissions (including Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt).
The current version does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, behavioral profiling, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell personal information.
Local information remains on your device until you remove it through available app controls, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Because the current version has no user accounts or developer-operated cloud storage, there is no remote account data for us to delete.
TheQuranScroll does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If the app is listed for age groups that include children, the store listings and app configuration also comply with the Apple App Store Kids Category guidelines and Google Play Families requirements, as applicable.
We use platform-provided local storage and encrypted HTTPS connections for network requests. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
This policy may be updated when the app's features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date shown above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
